Security And Account Access
The Security section helps you protect access to your Artlope account.
It is grouped into five areas:
- downloading a data export
- changing your password
- changing your email address
- setting up or disabling two-factor authentication
- deleting your account
Data export
Section titled “Data export”Data export lets you download a zip file with your records, images, and uploaded files.
The export includes readable Markdown files for your profile, artworks, exhibitions, submissions, portfolios, and finances.
It also includes the related images and uploaded files so the exported Markdown files can link to them inside the same zip file.
To create the export, open the Data export section and click Download data export.
Artlope prepares the file and starts the download automatically.
While the export is being generated, keep the tab open until the download begins.
If you want a full explanation of the export contents and folder structure, go to Data export.
Change password
Section titled “Change password”Use Change password when you want to replace your current login password.
You need to enter:
Current passwordNew passwordConfirm new password
You can also turn on Force logout all other sessions.
If you enable that option, Artlope signs out your other active sessions after the password change. This is useful if you signed in on another device and want to make sure only the current session stays active.
If the new password and confirmation do not match, Artlope shows an error message.
If the change works, Artlope shows a confirmation message.
Change email
Section titled “Change email”Use Change email when you want to move your account to a different email address.
This section shows:
- your current email address
- a field for the new email address
To protect password resets and account access, the change happens in two steps:
- You start the email change from Settings.
- You approve the change from your current email address.
- You then verify the new email address from the new inbox before it becomes active.
Until those steps are complete, your email address does not change.
Two-factor authentication
Section titled “Two-factor authentication”Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second login step through an authenticator app.
The section shows the current status:
EnabledDisabled
Setting up 2FA
Section titled “Setting up 2FA”To begin, enter your Current password and click Set up 2FA.
Artlope then shows:
- a QR code for your authenticator app
- a short list of setup steps

The setup flow is:
- Open an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, 1Password, or Authy.
- Scan the QR code.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app.
- Click
Verify and enable.
Backup codes are shown during setup so you can keep them in a safe place. They help you get back into your account if you lose access to your authenticator app.
If the QR code cannot be generated or verification fails, Artlope shows an error message.
If the setup works, Artlope confirms that two-factor authentication is enabled.
Disabling 2FA
Section titled “Disabling 2FA”If 2FA is already on, this section changes to a simpler form.
To turn it off, enter your Current password and click Disable 2FA.
If the update works, Artlope confirms that two-factor authentication is disabled.

This section includes:

Nothing is deleted until you confirm through that email.
