Exporting Portfolios

When your portfolio is ready, use the Export button in the page header.

Artlope can export portfolios as:

  • PDF
  • PowerPoint

Portfolios are built from the choices you make across the different tabs.

That includes:

  • the basic portfolio details
  • enabled sections and their order
  • selected artwork fields
  • artwork order
  • per-artwork descriptions
  • additional images or linked artworks
  • work history entries
  • contact information
  • the custom page

If you have unsaved changes, save them first so the stored portfolio matches what you want to export.

PDF is useful when you need a document that is easy to email, upload, or print.

The PDF export uses the portfolio structure you created in Artlope, including the selected sections and artwork information.

PowerPoint export is useful when you want a slide-based portfolio.

This can help when:

  • an application asks for slides
  • you want a document that is easy to present live
  • you want more control when adapting the file afterward

PowerPoint export is only available when the portfolio orientation is set to Landscape.

Depending on your settings, the exported document can include:

  • a title section
  • an artist statement
  • artwork pages
  • CV and exhibition history
  • contact information
  • a custom page

For each artwork, the export can also include:

  • title
  • year
  • medium
  • dimensions
  • price
  • description
  • artwork type
  • additional images

This makes portfolios flexible enough for both short image selections and more complete application documents.

One of the main reasons to build portfolios in Artlope is to prepare material for Submissions.

A saved portfolio gives you a reusable document you can adapt for each call instead of rebuilding the same package every time.

You can keep:

  • a general master portfolio
  • shorter portfolios for specific projects
  • customized versions for particular galleries, residencies, grants, or juries
