Profile Details

Your profile starts with the parts that describe you directly: your photo, name, texts, and location.

You can edit each section on its own. This makes it easy to update one part of your profile without changing everything else.

Most profile sections have an Edit button.

When you open a section, you can:

  • make changes
  • click Save to keep them
  • click Cancel to return to the saved version

This is useful when you want to revise your statement, add one new publication, or update your contact details without affecting the rest of your profile.

Your Profile photo gives your CV and profile a clear identity.

You can:

  • drag and drop one image onto the page
  • click the upload button and choose one image
  • remove the current image

Files can be up to 3 MB.

If the image is larger, Artlope can offer to reduce the size for you before upload.

Name is your artist name as it should appear in your CV and profile.

If you export a CV, this name is used at the top of the document.

Biography is where you can introduce your background, practice, and development as an artist.

This is often the best place for:

  • a short professional introduction
  • your medium or approach
  • your background and context
  • a concise overview of your work

It uses a rich text editor, so you can structure the text more clearly than in a plain text field.

Artist statement is where you describe the ideas, themes, and methods behind your work.

This field is separate from the biography on purpose.

In many cases:

  • the Biography explains who you are
  • the Artist statement explains what your work is doing

This text can also be reused in portfolios.

Location helps you keep your current base in one place.

It has two fields:

  • City
  • Country

You can fill in one or both.

This information can also appear in your exported CV.
