Sub-Categories

Sub-categories help you keep a larger category organized without losing the bigger picture.

For example, you might have one main category for a long project, and then use sub-categories for chapters, phases, or smaller series inside it.

Open a category and go to the Sub-categories tab.

From there, click Create sub-category.

When you create one, you can add:

  • Name
  • Description

Just like regular categories, the name is required and the description is optional.

A sub-category belongs to a parent category.

Because of that:

  • the parent category can show the sub-category in its title path
  • artwork counts can roll up to the parent category
  • stats can include artworks from the full category structure
  • artworks shown on the parent page can carry a sub-category badge

This means you can keep detailed internal groupings without losing the overview of the whole project or theme.
