Category Details
Open any category to see its detail page.
If the category is a sub-category, the title shows its place in the hierarchy, with the parent category before it.
The artwork count shown near the title includes artworks from the category itself and from its sub-categories.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Detail tab gives you a quick summary of the category.
It shows:
NameDescription- website status
- banner artwork
If the category has artworks, the same tab also shows artwork cards for the works in that category structure.
When artworks belong to a sub-category, Artlope can add a small badge so you can tell where they sit inside the larger category.
Edit info
Section titled “Edit info”The Edit info tab lets you update the category itself.
Name is the title of the category.
Description is your note about what the category is for.
In the Website section, you can also manage:
Show on websiteBanner artwork
Show on website decides whether this category appears on your website.
Banner artwork lets you choose one artwork from the category to represent it visually on the website.
If website visibility is turned off, the banner artwork setting is not used.
Files and notes
Section titled “Files and notes”Categories can also hold supporting information beyond the artworks themselves.
Attachments let you store files on the category. This can be useful for project notes, checklists, PDFs, or planning documents connected to a body of work.
Comments are private notes for you on the category page.
Extra tools
Section titled “Extra tools”From the category detail page, you can also:
- open a presentation view of the artworks in the category
- download a catalog based on the category artworks
- download labels based on the category artworks
- bulk edit the artworks in the category
- delete the category
If you delete a category that has sub-categories, Artlope asks whether those sub-categories should also be deleted or kept.
