Contacts
Contacts brings together people and organizations already connected to your work, along with contacts you add yourself.
It gives you one place to find buyers, collaborators, galleries, organizations, and other professional contacts without entering the same name repeatedly.
Where contacts come from
Section titled “Where contacts come from”Artlope automatically includes a contact when you add one of these details elsewhere:
- the buyer recorded for an artwork sale
- a collaborator on an artwork
- the venue for an exhibition
- the organization for a submission
- the recipient of a portfolio
When an exhibition or submission has contact details, its email address or link is also shown with the gathered contact. Each contact shows the records it is connected to. Select a connected record to open the original artwork, exhibition, submission, or portfolio.
Contacts with the same name are combined into a single entry. For example, a gallery listed as an exhibition venue and as a submission organization appears once, with both connections.
Add and update contact details
Section titled “Add and update contact details”Use Add contact to create a contact that is not yet connected to another Artlope record. You can save a name, email address, website link, and note.
You can also select the edit button on any contact to add or update those details. This is useful when a contact was gathered automatically and you want to keep their email address, website, or notes alongside the connected records.
Editing a contact does not change the buyer, collaborator, venue, organization, or recipient saved in its original record. Update those connections from the relevant artwork, exhibition, submission, or portfolio page.
Find the contacts you need
Section titled “Find the contacts you need”Use the list controls to:
- search by name
- filter by buyer, exhibition, collaborator, submission, or manually added contact
- filter by the year of a connected record
- sort contacts by name, type, or year
Manual contacts that have no connected record are still kept in your list, so you can build your own contact directory over time.
