Open Calls
Artlope searches the web for open calls and brings current and upcoming opportunities into one place. You can explore calls for exhibitions, residencies, awards, funding, studio spaces, acquisitions, publications, and other opportunities, then use Artlope to prepare and track your application.
Open call information is collected automatically and is not reviewed by a person. Details may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Always confirm the requirements, deadline, fees, and eligibility on the official page before applying.
Search and filtering
Section titled “Search and filtering”Use the Search field on the Open Calls page to search the opportunity name, organizer, location, and other available information.
You can narrow the list by:
Purpose, such as exhibition, residency, award, or fundingTags, for themes and other details found in the callAdded, to see calls Artlope found in the last 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days
Select Reset to clear all active filters. Your search and filters remain in place when you open a call and return to the list.
List and detail pages
Section titled “List and detail pages”The list groups open calls by their nearest upcoming deadline. Calls without a known deadline appear in a separate group. Select an open call to open its detail page.
The detail page brings together the organizer, location, purpose, eligibility, description, application requirements, fees, rewards, dates, and links that Artlope found. Use Visit official page to check the source and apply through the organizer’s website.
Create a submission and portfolio
Section titled “Create a submission and portfolio”Select Prepare Application on an open call’s detail page. You can create either:
- a submission to track the application; or
- a submission with a new portfolio for the opportunity.
Artlope copies available details from the open call into the submission, including the organizer, link, location, purpose, dates, and deadline events. You can then edit the submission, add artworks, track fees, and update its status as you prepare and apply. Learn more in Submissions and Portfolios.
If you create a portfolio, use it to select and arrange artworks, add supporting information, and export the finished document. See Managing Portfolio Artworks and Exporting Portfolios.
Report an open call
Section titled “Report an open call”If a call appears fraudulent, has an incorrect deadline, contains incorrect information, links to the wrong page, or should no longer be listed, select Report open call on its detail page.
Choose the reason that best describes the problem and add details when helpful, then send the report. Reports help Artlope improve the opportunities shown to everyone. Reporting a call does not contact the organizer, so use the official page when you need help with an application.
